Lebanon Area Fall Classes and Lessons Guide

Socialization is just as important as education, and here in Lebanon County, we're lucky to have a variety of activities and classes to choose from for our Mini Macaronis.

Whether the talent is art, music, dance or gymnastics, there will surely be something to fit everyone's interest. Plus, Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts will also be accepting registrations for the new year.

Boy Scouts of America PA Dutch Council

Lebanon County falls under the Horseshoe-Trail District of the Pennsylvania Dutch Council. Watch for information to be announced about registration events for the upcoming year. Learn more on their website at www.padutchbsa.org


Community Music Institute at Lebanon Valley College

The Community Music Institute (CMI) offers private instrumental and voice lessons (ages 6-adult) and a full Kindermusik curriculum. 

Fall 2015 Kindermusik Schedule: Classes start the week of Sept. 7. Register before Aug. 14 and receive a 10% discount. Siblings receive a 10% discount.
Newborn to 18 months-Village. Wednesdays at 9:30 a.m. or Saturdays at 10:15 a.m.
18 months-3.5 years - Our Time. Mondays, Thursdays, or Saturdays (12 weeks) at 9:30 a.m.
3.5-5 years- Imagine That. Mondays or Thursdays at 10:15 a.m., Wednesdays at 2 p.m., Fridays at 3:30 p.m. or Saturdays at 11:15 a.m. 
5-6 years - Young Child 1. Thursdays at 5:15 p.m. 
6-7 years - Young Child 3. Thursdays at 6:15 p.m. (Please note Young Child 1 and 2 are pre-requisites.)

Danstation School of Dance

Danstation School of Dance is now accepting registrations for new classes for 2015-16 for students age 3 through adult. Classes are held in the studio inside the Lebanon Valley Mall.

Classes include Dance Basics for preschoolers, Step Up for early elementary students, and then progresses through Beginner, Intermediate and Senior Ballet, Tap, Jazz/Hip-Hop and Pointe.

Girl Scouts in the Heart of Pennsylvania

Watch for registration events to take place in August and September throughout Lebanon County. Girls as young as kindergarten are eligible to join! Visit their website for more details.


Grow with Grace Dance and Fitness Studio

Grow with Grace Dance & Fitness Studio is proud to be embarking on its fifth year in business, offering a wide variety of dance and fitness classes to the area. This fall, their dance classes include:

Ages 2-3 years: Babies & Buddies: A 30-minute mix of creative movement activities in which dancers have fun participating with an adult caregiver!
Ages 3-4 years: Pre-School Princess/Prince: A 30-minute mix of tap, ballet, and creative movement geared toward boys and girls.
Ages 5-6 years: Dancing Diva/Dude: A 45-minute fun mix of tap, ballet, and creative movement geared toward boys and girls.
Ages 7 & Up: Tap/Ballet: An hour long mix of students having fun learning a mix of classical ballet, grace, and tap technique. Classes are available for various age groups.
Ages 7 & Up: Jazz/Hip-Hop: An hour long fun mix of students having fun learning a mix of jazz technique and funky hip-hop moves. Classes are available for various age groups.

Kindermusik with Kristen Miller

New Fall Kindermusik classes will be offered at Trinity United Church of Christ in Palmyra. Friday classes will begin Sept. 11, while Wednesday and Thursday classes will begin Sept. 16 and 17.

Wednesday classes
9:30 a.m. - Kindermusik "Our Time" Class for ages 1.5 to 3.5; Curriculum is "Wiggles and Giggles"
10:30 a.m. - Kindermusik "Imagine That" Class for ages 3.5 to 5 (First 30 minutes are done without grown ups; then grown ups join in for the last 15 minutes)  Curriculum is "See What I Saw"

Thursday classes
9:30 a.m. - Kindermusik "Village" Class for newborn to age 1.5; Curriculum is "Feathers and Do-Si-Do"
10:30 and 11:30 a.m. - Kindermusik "Our Time" Class for ages 1.5 to 3.5; Curriculum is "Wiggles and Giggles"

Friday classes
10 a.m. - Kindermusik "Family Time" Class for All Ages. Curriculum TBA.

Studio B Power Yoga

Kids Yoga 6-week series
Saturdays, 1-2 p.m. from Sept. 5 through Oct. 10

During this 6 week series, children explore yoga, movement, and meditation in a fun, loving, and nurturing environment.  Children earn to channel their energy and how to calm down for quite time!  Each student will have the opportunity to lead their peers as a co-teacher/helper. On week 6, parents will be invited to watch as the children showcase their new yogi skills!  This course is for children ages 5-10.

Welcome Little Ones

Play & Learn Classes invite families to enjoy stories, crafts, sensory activities, music, movement, and a guided playtime, all rolled into one very happy and stimulating 45 minute class. All classes start Sept. 18 and have themes based on the Barefoot Books Singalongs "If You're Happy and You Know It" and "Here We Go Round the Mulberry Bush."

For babies to 24 months, Fridays 9:15 a.m. 
For ages 2 to 4 years, Fridays 10:15 a.m. 
For mixed ages, newborn to 4 yrs, Fridays 11:15 a.m.

Yoga For Kids

Seedling Yoga Class: Grades K-6 at Quittie Glen in Annville
Wednesdays 4:30 PM - 5:30 PM. Sept. 16-Nov. 11 (no class Oct. 21)
In this multi-age developmentally appropriate yoga class, children practice deep breathing, relaxation techniques, and various yoga poses in a mindful and imaginative manner through storytelling, books, music, props, and games. Students enjoy a sustained period of relaxation at the end of class.
