I recently rode the train from Harrisburg to a weekend reunion with college friends in Brooklyn. It was a fabulously relaxing way to start my getaway. The train was very clean and included a cafe car as well as a quiet car.
I also like that if you need to get up and stretch, it's easier to do than when you're riding a bus. There is also complimentary wifi, which is great when you have kids that may want to pass some time with an electronic device.
