Thomas the Tank Engine, star of the popular series Thomas & Friends® is kicking off summer with its Day Out with Thomas: Ready, Set, Go Tour at the Strasburg Rail Road from June 18-26.
This fun-filled event offers little engineers and their families the opportunity to take a ride with Thomas and pal, Percy; and meet Sir Topham Hatt®, Controller of the Railway. Families can double the fun this year with the Percy Package, which includes a ride with Thomas and Percy, plus all the fun extra railroading activities.
Thomas-themed activities including arts & crafts, storytelling and additional train-themed rides will be available throughout the day and are included with the ticket price. The tour, now in its 21st year, makes stops in 42 US cities and is expected to welcome nearly one million passengers throughout the year.
Event Activities:
- A 25-minute ride with Thomas the Tank Engine
- A 12-minute ride with Percy (Percy Package)
- Pictures with Sir Topham Hatt, Controller of the Railway
- Thomas & Friends Imagination Station featuring stamps, temporary tattoos, hands-on arts & crafts, train tables and coloring sheets
- Thomas & Friends video viewing and storytelling
- Fun extras including rides aboard Strasburg Rail Road’s vintage Cranky Cars, Pint-Sized Pufferbelly train, and LO&S motorcar train
Thomas trains depart every 30 minutes:
Saturday: 9:45 am – 3:15 pm
Sunday: 10:15 am – 3:15 pm
Monday – Friday: 10:15 am – 1:45 pm
Percy rides run between Thomas trains.
