There's Still Time for Fantastic Summer Camps

It's not too late to book a fun week (or two!) at summer camp for your Mini Macaronis! Many of the places listed in our Summer Camp Guide are still accepting registrations. Take a look and see what fits best for your Mini Macaroni this year.

Camp Invention

Camp Invention will enhance your child’s education through fun, hands-on activities that reinvent summer fun! Throughout the five-day adventure, children take part in activities such as constructing an epic, insect-themed pinball machine and creating a personalized motor-powered vehicle. Led by local educators, boys and girls are challenged to explore connections between the STEM concepts of science, technology, engineering and innovation.


Developmental & Disability Services of Lebanon Valley

Developmental & Disability Services of Lebanon Valley is hosting its Summer Stars Day Camp, designed for children and youth of all abilities with a direct focus on serving children and youth with special needs. Choose from Mini Camps for ages 4-8 that run from 9 a.m. to noon and are $50, or regular camp for school-age children that runs from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and is $125.

Discovery Junction's Camp Discovery

Infants through school-age children are invited to enjoy summer camp themes, including cooking, local heroes, animals, art and movement. The Camp Discovery teachers will create exciting and fun lesson plans —we’ll create art and music, play games and sports, conduct science experiments, and of course remember to spend some time chilling out.

Friday Night Fitness Family Boot Camp

Be FIT with Sarah & Nikki are inviting families to work out together and have fun getting healthy this summer during their Friday Night Fitness Family Boot Camp. A special class for kids age 4-12 is offered the same time and place as an adult boot camp on Friday nights this summer.

Girl Scouts in the Heart of Pennsylvania

Our super exciting Mardi Gras Camp at Camp Furnace Hills will include a mixture of fun and creative activities, including making Mardi Gras masks and colorful beads for the Saturday night fun event. Come and enjoy crafts, games, swimming, making new friends and having a good time!

Gretna Glen

Gretna Glen offers day and overnight camps for kids from kindergarten through age 18. Although each week of camp has a different theme and Bible lessons, there is a standard schedule that ensures all campers will experience the great things about camp each week like boating, swimming and fishing. If you're not sure if your child is ready to attend camp alone, consider checking out their family overnight camps, as well as Parent & Me or Grandparent & Me 1-day offerings.

Hands-on House

Join an expedition to Dinosaur Central, take off on a Neverland Adventure with Peter Pan, make new friends, and soak up some tropical atmosphere on Pineapple Island at SUMMERTIME STATION camp at Hands-on House, Children’s Museum of Lancaster. Designed and conducted by experienced Hands-on House Museum Educators, each morning session is loaded with unique educational themes new for 2014. Children age 4-7 will participate in hands-on science, nature, arts & crafts, games and more.

Kindermusik Kamp at Lebanon Valley College

Kindermusik Kamp will be available weekdays and Saturdays for the following age groups:

Newborn - 18 months
18 months - 3 years
3-5 years
5-7 years

Klick Lewis Arena

Klick Lewis Arena will be hosting three opportunities for summer camp fun, an Ice Tykes Skate Camp, Basic Skills Skate Camp and a Freestyle Figure Skate Camp.

The Lazer Factory

The Lazer Factory is unveiling a new summer camp offering.
Kids age 7-12 are invited to enjoy laser tag, the playground, snack and a craft from 1-5 p.m. for only $19.95 per day. Ages 7-12, registration begins June 1, first camp June 11. Space is limited.

Lebanon YMCA


Preschool Camp

YMCA Preschool Summer Camps feature learning centers, art activities, music, movement, gym time and more. Each week includes swimming and story time at the library. Camps are open to potty-trained children age 3 through 5. Choose one or as many as you would like!

School-Age Day Camp

Kids who have completed kindergarten through age 12 can choose from X-treme X-periments, X-treme H2O, X-treme Chefs and more during these week-long camps in June, July or August. Camps are held at several locations throughout the area, including the Lebanon YMCA and the following elementary schools: Ebenezer, Union Canal, Harding, Jonestown, Forge Road, Jonestown and South Lebanon.

Sports Camps

Let your kids learn and enhance their skills in field hockey, soccer or basketball during these week-long, half-day YMCA Sports Camps. A new sports agility and conditioning camp has also been added for this summer.

Luthercare for Kids

Luthercare for Kids Summer Program is the perfect solution for your school-age kids 5-12 years old. Their Summer Series allows kids to explore the arts, science and cooking with exciting themes each week.

Metamorphosis at Dreamscapes Watergardens

Now entering its second season with the Metamorphosis Butterfly House, Dreamscapes Watergardens has added fun classes for children, including building a tadpole habitat, a caterpillar nature jar and unique bird feeders.

Palmyra Bowling and Paramount Sports Complex

Palmyra Bowling and Paramount Sports Complex are teaming up for Wednesday fun from June 11-Aug. 20. Kids age 6-14 are invited to spend the morning at Palmyra Bowling and then an afternoon of fitness fun at Paramount Sports Complex in this unique partnership.

Paramount Sports Complex

Paramount Sports Complex is offering five different camps for children age 3-11 this summer. Choose from Summer Blast, Gymnastics Camp, Superhero Training, Creative Minds or Cheer Camp. Each week-long camp runs from 9 a.m. to noon.

Quittie Glen

Quittie Glen Center for Mental Health Youth Wellness Camps offering wellness educational activities on topics such as Building Positive Self-Esteem, Managing Stress, Being Resilient, and Balancing Life! Each day includes outdoor fitness, music and nature activities, and outdoor games, as well as pool time. Each week has a different theme that provides youth with a unique interactive learning experience from local college professors, school teachers, and industry professionals. The camps are for youth ages 7–14.

SPLAT Studio

SPLAT Studio is hosting a variety of camps for both preschoolers (2-7) and elementary-age kids through teens. Get creative this summer and create a beautiful piece of art during one of their camps.

Summer Science Camp

SUMMER SCIENCE CAMP for children completing grades K-3. Science fun inside and outside as children explore the wonders of  science. Experiments and  projects that will turn Jr. Scientists into science-lovers!

YMCA Camp Shand

The YMCA Camp Shand offers adventure day camps and overnight resident camps for kids age 6-17 on 120 acres in Cornwall. Themes vary each week and include outdoor activities, arts and crafts and team-building. A service camp and counselor-in-training program are also available.

Young Villagers Workshop at Alexander Schaeffer Farm

Young Villagers Workshop invites kids entering grades 4 through 7 to step back in time for some fun. Activities offered may include: outside cooking, Fraktur, quilting, Pa German painting, Redward Pottery, speaking Pa German, making cheese, making checkers and checkerboard, visiting with small animals and horses, and making ice cream.
