Creatacard from American Greetings is the first-of-its kind iPad app that lets your kids decorate and customize their own card, and then have it printed and shipped anywhere in the world!
So, how does it work?
Your Mini Macaronis can choose to create their own card from scratch, or use an existing template featuring popular friends such as the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Sesame Street and Hello Kitty.
Then, it's time to create! Kids can choose tools for crayons, paintbrushes, words, stickers and stamps to decorate their greeting. Imagine all the excitement of markers, paint and even spraypaint but with none of the mess in your house!
As you can see above, all of these tools are on a very easy to use wheel at the bottom of the screen that lets you quickly switch from one to another. We also liked that there is an eraser tool that lets you erase any part of the picture you want, instead of just the last step - it definitely came in handy more than once for my little artists!
Want to get a little more personal? Add a photo! You can choose to give Creatacard access to photos stored on your device, or take a new photo and then add a fun photo frame border.
Finally, don't forget to have the kids sign their work! The back of each card has a "Made By" spot where they can type their name.
Once their card creating is complete, kids will need your help to order their card, which will then be printed and mailed to whoever they choose - anywhere in the world.
Each card is only $3.49 and can only be ordered with a grown-up who can navigate through some small security steps.
With Grandparents Day coming up on Sunday, Sept. 7, now might be a perfect time to give Creatacard a try! If you do want to order for the holiday, Creatacard recommends ordering by August 28 to ensure on-time delivery. Kids can have fun tracking their masterpiece from printing through delivery with the "Where's My Card" feature of the app.
