Do your Mini Macaronis love to build? Are they into LEGOs, K'nex or any other type of building toys?

My son has been obsessed with LEGOs for years, whether it's a set in a box or customizing his own creation from his bucket of pieces, he can spend hours amusing himself on a weekend day. When I discovered BrickLoot, I knew I found a terrific gift idea for him for the holidays!

When our preview box arrived for this review, both my son and daughter couldn't wait to open it up and get building!

Our box contained:
  • An accessory set from Brick Forge that fit one of the figures he already owned
  • A football player from Oyo Sports
  • A Nanoblocks ship
  • A robot from JK Brickworks
  • A tool to remove bricks that have already been assembled
Each item was packaged individually in the box, so each kid grabbed something and went right to work. My daughter was able to build the robot completely on her own, which amazed me since she's not quite 5. The directions were clear and easy to follow.

I also liked that the Nanoblocks gave my 6-year-old son a new challenge by having him work with tinier pieces than a traditional LEGO brick.

The Story of BrickLoot

BrickLoot is the creation of one family, whose 9-year-old son Parker has a deep love for everything LEGO. Parker's mom Erin shared that every year they have a garage sale so he can sell all his NON-LEGO toys to raise money to purchase MORE LEGO sets. As they were sitting at their garage sale discussing other monthly box subscriptions Brick Loot’s business plan was created.

Your family can get in on the fun by ordering a 1-month, three-month or six-month subscription for a holiday gift! Each BrickLoot box arrives at your door with a myriad of amazing LEGO and LEGO-compatible products.

The deadline to order the December BrickLoot box is Friday, Dec. 5. Macaroni Kid subscribers can save 10% off any subscription by using code mom5 by Dec. 31.
