SPLAT Studio Welcomes Artists for Summer Camp

By Sponsored May 27, 2015
Family-owned and operated SPLAT Studio™ is located along Route 422 in the heart of Historic Annville. The studio offers a vast array of fun and educational art programming, summer camps, and customized parties for children, teens and adults in a beautiful and bright space that fosters creativity and learning.

As the school year draws to a close, Meghan Winslow, the owner of SPLAT, is gearing up for summer with more than a dozen camp offerings. Whether you have a preschool-age artist, or a teenager who enjoys more advanced techniques, SPLAT offers different camps each week from June through August.

For younger artists (age 2 through 7), SPLAT hosts one-day camps in the form of Little Kid Camp (age 2-7) or Big Kid Camp (age 4-7) each Friday through the summer. Little Kid Camp runs an hour, while Big Kid Camp stretches for two hours. Mediums vary from watercolors and handbuilding ceramics to printing and drawing. Some of the final projects include a Starry Night Mobile, a Flying Plane Ceramic Ornament and Pinwheels.

See the full schedule for Little Kid Camp and Big Kid Camp in our Summer Camp Guide.

In addition, there are Kids and Teens Camps designed for children age 6 through 14 and 12 through 17, respectively with projects focusing on Observational Drawing, Wheel Throwing, Ceramics, Canvas Painting, Mosaics, Handbuilding and more. You can see the full list here. These camps are three days from 9:30-11:30 in the morning (except wheel throwing is from 1-4 p.m.). Also, you can extend your child's day by packing a bagged lunch for them to enjoy from 11:30-1 p.m. for an added cost of $12.

If you are interested in a camp for your group or organization, you can talk with Meghan about the Create-a-Camp option.
