Families in the Lebanon area will soon have a new option for indoor fun - just in time for these cold winter days - thanks to Bryan Foster and Susie Barnhart's new adventure, Five Stone Kids.
When the Lebanon Valley Mall approached Bryan in early December, about moving Five Stone Bookstore into the space formerly occupied by Club Kid, Bryan quickly called Susie.
They had met when Bryan was opening his bookstore in early May and Susie was managing Club Kid. Bryan was impressed with Susie's passion for children and realized that this was a golden opportunity to remake the space into a fun and educational place for families to go with their children.
The vision for Five Stone Kids is a storefront that will specialize in children's books, as well as educational games and toys (think Melissa and Doug, arts and crafts sets). This area will also host free storytimes and other special events like crafts and character visits. The back half of the space will be a children's play area, with a slide, ball pit and plenty of pretend fun.
Parents will be able to bring their children in to the play area for just $5, or qualifying purchases in the store entitles you to discounted playtime! The play area will be open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. The schedule for Sunday will depend on birthdays and private parties, with special, low-priced packages available starting at just $100 for up to 15 kids.
Five Stone Kids will open its doors to the public on Monday, Jan. 14, but will host its Grand Opening celebration on Saturday, Jan. 19. As part of the grand opening, raffle tickets will be available with winners announced every hour.
