Here’s a preview of what you can find when you visit the AACA Museum between Nov. 15-Jan. 5.:
Trains, Trains & More Trains
All Aboard! The Roads to Rails display has multiple trains running in the town of Tuckerville along with many interactive elements and Thomas the Tank Engine, a family favorite! Other trains include a Hershey Trolley, Western theme train and Polar Express.
Great Grinch Escape
How many Grinch and Max the Dog characters can you find hidden throughout the Museum in every display area? Play along and count as you go!
Car-Toon Truck & Art Display Area
See the 1928 Ford Roadster Pickup decorated with 30,000 cartoon characters, every comic book character from 1896 through the present day! Many additional art pieces will be on display with a variety of themes including: Money Car, Carousel, Concept Cars, Games, NASCAR, Star Wars and Super Heroes.
Advanced Lego Technic Super Cars and Other Special Displays
Lego Technic is a specialized line of LEGOs, which incorporates interconnecting pieces into the already adaptable Lego brick design. Display cases will include a collection of several custom-created LEGO Supercars, including a white & black vampire, red Porsche 997 GT3 and a 1957 Chevy being built specifically for this exhibit! Like what you see? Vote with Lego to have one of these cars created into a commercially available LEGO pattern.
Sammy the Snow Plow and Mr. Beep, the Talking Car, are two more things your family can find at the Museum. The grownups will feel like kids again when they see a variety of vintage snowmobiles, and a MINI Snowmobile “Monster Machine” made as part of the “Monster Garage” television show. Celebrity cars including Ernie’s GMC Taxi from It’s a Wonderful Life will be on display, too.
Local elementary schools from the Hershey/Harrisburg area will participate in a holiday tree-decorating contest, so make sure you vote for your favorite!
Fill The Truck
The AACA Museum is asking its visitors over the next few weeks to give back to the community. The Museum is teaming up with Carry the Light Ministries of Mechanicsburg for the annual Food and Toy "Drive." Fill up the truck located in the lobby with donations of any non-perishable food items, toiletries and toys through Dec. 23.
