Yoga For Kids Comes to Annville and Hershey

New Classes Starting in January

December 18, 2013
Yoga for Kids is getting ready to kick off its winter session of classes and bring all the fun and health benefits of yoga to your Mini Macaronis!

The Yoga for Kids classes, which will be offered in Annville and Hershey, will be taught by Pat Steely, a recently retired public school educator with a Masters Degree in Special Education. She is a certified Childlight Children’s Yoga Instructor and has been practicing yoga for 17 years and meditation for over 35 years. You can read more about her background on her website.

Pat is excited to offer several different classes for kids ranging from preschool-age through tweens. Her preschool class is offered at the Granada Gym and Fitness Center in Hershey, while her other sessions are held at the Quittie Glen Center in Annville. Each class does require you to bring your own yoga mat.

In addition to teaching yoga in a fun manner that kids can understand, Pat also includes a social component in each of her classes. Additional benefits of yoga include:
  • enhanced strength, flexibility, balance & coordination
  • improved concentration, focus & attention
  • creative expression & imagination
  • an overall increased sense of well-being
