Consign Your Children's Outgrown Items at the Berks Kids Closet Sale

August 12, 2015
If you have cleaned out your Mini Macaroni's closet and now have piles of clothing that has been barely worn, winter coats and snow boots, consider consigning those items at the Berks Kids Closet's Children & Teen Outgrown Sale at the Lebanon Expo Center on Saturday, September 12 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. There will be a half-off sale from 1-2 p.m.

Berks Kids Closet will accept all of your gently-used clothing, baby items, books, toys and anything else kid-related! They also sell maternity clothing.

Consignors can earn up to 70% of their profit. It’s a great way for local families to make extra money and to clean out their house. Recycling our children’s items reduces the amount of waste that is thrown in our landfill.

Both consignors and shoppers love this sale and the amazing deals. Judy, who started Berks Kids Closet, is a mother of six children and has to be a smart shopper. This sale is a one-stop shop. Everything you need for the Fall & Winter seasons for your children, including back to school needs like shoes, coats, backpacks and more. Their sales are seasonal and held twice a year (Spring & Fall).

After the sale is over, consignors can choose to take home their unsold items or donate them to Jubilee Ministry. They have been receiving Berks Kids Closet donations for years.

In addition to consigning, parents are also invited to volunteer to help at the sale on Saturday, which entitles you to shop the pre-sale on Friday evening - even if you aren't a consignor! Volunteers will be able to shop on Friday, Sept. 11 from 5:30-9 p.m. and beat the crowds on Saturday. You can sign up to volunteer on their website.

Check out the Berks Kids Closet website for more information about the consigning process and to join their mailing list to receive reminders of upcoming sales! You can email judy@berkskidscloset.com to register as a consignor, and keep up with them on facebook.
