Hersheypark's Christmas Candylane is Brighter Than Ever

By Sponsored November 18, 2015
Bigger, brighter, and faster than ever, Hersheypark's Christmas Candylane is now open for its 2015 season! My family visited last weekend, and we have the ultimate scoop on this year's event.

New this year, Hersheypark has expanded Christmas Candylane into its Midway area, which means there are now four million twinkling lights for your family to enjoy. We LOVED the displays, especially the 12 Days of Christmas that starts near The Claw and winds toward Wildcat.

My favorite view though had to be from the bridge in the Hollow looking down toward the sooperdooperlooper. Not only does it look beautiful, the lights also dance to synchronized Christmas music every half hour starting at 5 p.m. as part of their NOEL show. Check out the other holiday entertainment available, too.

Aside from the lights, the best part of Christmas Candylane this year? They have four roller coasters open for the season! You can take a thrilling ride on Wildcat, sooperdooperlooper, their new indoor coaster Laff Trakk, and the family Cocoa Cruiser.

If your family isn't up for coasters, there are more than 40 other rides open, many of them with festive decorations. Personally, I love riding the Carrousel while listening to the Christmas carols that replace their regular music. I also recommend The Kissing Tower and the Monorail as a terrific way to see all the lights from up above!

And what holiday attraction would be complete without Santa?!? Head to Santa's Candy Cottage and let your Mini Macaronis share their list with Santa and pose for pictures. There's plenty of other cute photo ops while you're there, too!

And Santa isn't the only arrival from the North Pole! He brought his reindeer with him, too! Santa's Reindeer Stables are over in Pioneer Frontier - which is right next to Rudolph's Skating Pond! Ice skate rentals are available for $3.

Christmas Candylane is open weekends and additional select dates through New Year's Eve. Candylane admission is $18 for ages 3 and older, children under age 3 are FREE. Multiple-day tickets are also available. You can view the full schedule and pricing details on the Hersheypark website

In addition to Christmas Candylane, other holiday offerings in Hershey include breakfast or lunch with Santa at Hersheypark Place, which is located right outside the park gates, and Hershey Sweet Lights, a drive thru light display. Hershey's Chocolate World, The Hershey Story, and Hershey Gardens also are hosting holiday events. See all the details at www.HersheyPA.com

Disclosure: My family received complimentary dinner and admission to Hersheypark's Christmas Candylane to facilitate this review.
