Tips to Save Time and Money on Grocery Shopping

Whether you're just returning from a vacation, have a busy weekend with kids' sports and activities, or are feeling under the weather, there are numerous options for saving money and time on your grocery shopping. A recent post on our Facebook page generated some great tips from families in our area with places to shop and services that deliver. Read on to see what might help you!


Delivery Services

Peapod/GIANT Direct - Cleona - Create your list via the website or Peapod app, GIANT employees will shop for your groceries, and then choose your delivery time. This requires some planning ahead as same-day delivery is not available.

Instacart - A third-party service. Build your list from your local store, then their shoppers will purchase your groceries and deliver. Delivery from Aldi and PriceRite along with drugstores are available in our area. Requires a monthly or annual membership.

Shipt - A third-party service that uses the list you create via the Shipt app to shop for your groceries. Delivery from Redner's and Weis. Requires a monthly or annual membership.


Curbside Pickup

Wal-Mart - Lebanon and Palmyra - Order online via the website or through their app, receive a notification when your order is ready, and they will bring the groceries curbside to your vehicle.

GIANT Direct/Peapod - Lebanon - Create your list via the website or Peapod app, GIANT employees will shop for your groceries, and then choose your curbside pickup time.
