Gretna Glen Camp & Retreat Center returns with another offering of summer camp fun for your kids! Offering day camp and overnight camp experiences, read on to learn more about what's waiting for you this year.

In these uncertain times, we recognize that it is difficult to project when school will end and what your families’ summer timelines will be. For the 2020 summer camp season, we will guarantee full refunds for cancellations that need to be made due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Please continue to pick a week or two of camp and register knowing this detail. Early bird ends at midnight March 31.

Also, mark your calendar for their annual Open House on Saturday, May 16, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. where you can experience camp in person!

Day Camp

Day Camp at Gretna Glen (for ages 4 through 5th grade) is a wonderful way for kids to explore nature, make new friends, and learn about Christ’s love! Each week of day camp has a new theme, new lessons, and new activities; but there is a standard schedule that ensures all campers will experience the great things about camp like boating, swimming, and fishing. Campers are divided into age-appropriate groups for the week. See the various themed weeks on their website here.

One of the specialty day camp offerings is Mission Possible Day Camp, for kids who have completed 5th-8th grade, which focuses on service to our community and how to put Bible lessons into action. These campers head off-site to take on a mission project one morning of the week and also participate in all the great outdoor opportunities that each Gretna Glen camper can enjoy.

Overnight Camps

Each week of camp, Gretna Glen hosts 4-6 overnight programs that are tailored to different grade levels. No matter which program campers sign up for, they all experience general camp activities such as boating, fishing, swimming, crafts, games, and archery. As part of our overnight program, a portion of the day is tailored to the theme of that specific program. Adventure trips like Hiking on the Appalachian Trail, Camelbeach Resort, tubing at Blue Marsh Lake and riding coasters at Hersheypark are just some options available for our youth campers.
