It doesn't matter the weather or the circumstances, one of my kids' favorite treats are S'mores. While they prefer the typical combo of graham cracker, marshmallow, and chocolate, the variations are endless and campfire, grill, oven, and microwave all offer their own methods for enjoying a delicious treat.

Read on for some ideas, and if you have a great recipe or link we should add to our list, send me an email at alisonw@macaronikid.com.

Campfire S'mores

Lebanon Macaroni Kid families agree that s'mores are a staple to a successful camping trip. We all know the traditional method of roasting your marshmallows on a stick, then slapping them in between the chocolate and graham crackers.

But, you can also mix it up with this skillet version or use waffle cones for your gooey candy creation.

One of our local moms shared her family loves Campfire Nachos. The directions she follows from Pinterest are: Fill a tin pan with marshmallows and chocolate chips. Melt over the campfire. Add Reese’s pieces, or any other candy you prefer. Scoop with graham crackers.

No campfire? No worries! Many of these ideas can also be done on the grill or even on the stove in your kitchen!
