Take a Story Walk in Myerstown!

By Myerstown Community Library October 6, 2020

The Myerstown Library is excited to announce our current project, the StoryWalk at the Myerstown Playground. The StoryWalk® Project was created by Anne Ferguson of Montpelier, Vermont and developed in collaboration with the Kellogg-Hubbard Library.

The Myerstown Library created the 19-panel StoryWalk featuring the book Daniel’s Poem by Micha Archer, along the paved trail from the fish dam up to the swimming pool. Families are invited to take a stroll through the park and read the story together post by post.

The library, in partnership with the Isaac Meier Homestead, will host a Spooky StoryWalk on October 31 at 6 p.m. Everyone is invited to visit the park, participate in the jack-o-lantern-lit StoryWalk, and join friends at the Meier house for a fire in the fireplace and light refreshments. Children are encouraged to come in costume. Please wear your mask when inside the Meier House or if social distancing is not possible. We are looking forward to a fun-filled, safe evening!
