Keep the family active this winter by adding on some layers and getting outside! Here are a few great local spots to enjoy in and around Lebanon County.
1. Clarence Schock Memorial Park at Governor Dick, located in Mt. Gretna, has hiking trails and their famed tower remains open from dawn to dusk. Find more local hiking spots in our guide.
2. Visit one of our national historic landmarks—the Union Canal Tunnel Park in Lebanon. It features walking trails, picnic tables, and benches.
3. Walk (or even bike if there's no snow on the ground!) along the Lebanon Valley Rails to Trails. Don't forget about the cute new addition to the trail in Jonestown!
4. If we get Old Man Winter to give us some snow, your family can find some thrills snow tubing at Iron Valley Tubing! Watch their website for opening details.
5. A warm sunny day in the winter months is always a good excuse to discover a new playground. Try one of these favorites!
6. Just beyond the Lebanon County border is Middle Creek Wildlife Management Area, located in nearby Stevens. While the Visitor's Center remains closed to the public due to the pandemic, hiking trails and other public access points remain open. Find maps of the hiking trails and more on their website.
