One of the best parts of this year has been the food truck events all over our communities! Where else can you go to try a variety of foods, support local business, and be outside enjoying the local parks with your family and friends? To top it all off, most of these events helped raise money for various local charities.
Food truck events are great for the whole family, especially if you have picky eaters. Food trucks are very creative ways to sample and try new things while getting multiple courses all in one setting. The food is made to order, served hot (or cold...mmmmm ice cream) and more than likely made with the heart as the local owners are trying to make a living while following their dreams. Often, these events also feature live music, crafts, and kids’ activities.
There are fewer food truck events in the winter season but we still have a handful left in Lebanon County and surrounding areas during the next month. My family will be trying to attend as many as possible, I will be trying to get my hands on another of the best Caprese panini's I have ever had and my boys will be looking for their favorite grilled cheese truck.
