This week we are featuring a local Lebanon County favorite: Goldfinch Meadows Farm and Soaps.

Located in Jonestown, Pennsylvania, and owned and operated by Alfred & Jennifer Albright, Goldfinch Meadows has been in Alfred’s family for over 40 years. Formerly a thoroughbred racing operation, Alfred & Jennifer converted the farm to a grass-fed, grass-finished, pasture-raised beef operation. Our goal is to maintain our soil health and the health of our cattle by using sustainable agriculture and rotational grazing practices. For information on their beef products check out their website HERE.
As a non-cook, I repeatedly get rave reviews when I use Goldfinch Meadows grass-fed beef and the beef sticks are a staple in our household! This beef can take any dish up a notch! Follow their Facebook page to see some of Jennifer's amazing meals.
In addition to grass-fed beef, Goldfinch Meadows has an amazing and natural soap and body care line. What sets their soaps apart is using tallow that is rendered in-house from their grass-fed beef cattle as the main ingredient in their soaps. Tallow is amazing for the skin, as it mimics the biology of your skin more closely than anything plant-based.
They focus on sustainable farming practices and continue that focus with their soaps. Their goal is to honor the animal by using as much of it as possible and then focusing on sustainable, ethically sourced ingredients such as natural clays for color, essential oils, and fragrances that are phthalate and paraben-free.
These products make incredible gifts for the holidays but guaranteed once you try them, you’ll be stocking up for yourself as well. The lotions, salves, chapstick, candles, and wax melts are incredible. I keep a constant supply of the Dark Rose scented everything in my house. You seriously can't go wrong with any of these products.
The goal of Goldfinch Meadows is to have an on-farm store in the near future. In the meantime, items can be purchased online, at one of their bi-annual on-farm events, or by checking the website for other local businesses selling Goldfinch Meadows' amazing products.
