A total solar eclipse is going to occur on April 8, and Lebanon County residents, will be able to see it, weather permitting.
Residents of Lebanon only need to step outside in order to see the eclipse. A total solar eclipse turns day into night and makes visible the otherwise hidden solar corona – the Sun’s outer atmosphere – as well as bright stars and planets.
The eclipse begins at 2:05 p.m., with the maximum eclipse at 3:21, and ending at 4:33.
It is important use proper eye protection, as permanent retina damage can be caused by looking directly at the eclipse.
Local libraries across Lebanon County are giving away eclipse glasses, and having watch parties for the eclipse.
