Our site boasts two areas for day camp that are not too far from each other. Each equipped with a pavilion and ample open space for fun and games, complemented by shaded wooded areas for comfort. Upon arrival, campers receive a warm welcome at our pavilion before heading to their designated areas. Day campers are grouped by age, enabling tailored activities suited to their developmental stage. A delicious, balanced lunch served at our dining hall and two snacks delivered throughout the day ensure they remain energized for all the adventures ahead. Our trained counselors foster meaningful connections with each camper, guiding small groups throughout the week. While weekly themes and Bible discovery experiences vary, a consistent schedule guarantees that every camper enjoys classic activities like boating, swimming, and fishing, creating cherished memories.
For those craving an immersive overnight experience, Gretna Glen's overnight programs offer unparalleled opportunities for growth and exploration. Open to children and youth aged 5-18, our overnight programs provide a supportive environment where campers can embrace new challenges, forge lasting friendships, and deepen their faith journey. With 4-6 tailored overnight programs each week, campers of all ages embark on a transformative adventure. From boating and fishing to crafts and archery, every camper engages in activities that foster personal growth and self-discovery. Plus, many programs for kids 12+ include day trips as part of the experience.
