Early Head Start is a year-round, home-based program that provides parents with information on child development, school-readiness, health, nutrition and more. Home visits with the parent or guardian and the child occur weekly for 90 minutes. Socializations are held twice a month at IU 13 and provide an opportunity for the parent and child to interact with other parents and children.
New for this year, Early Head Start is being expanded to include pregnant women. Information on prenatal care, nutrition, and preparing for the new baby will be provided during home visits. When the child is born, he or she would automatically be enrolled into the program.
Early Head Start is free to eligible families based in Lebanon County. To learn more about the program and how to apply, call 717-450-1512.
