Description
Bring your mom to the farm on Mother’s Day for a special treat. Alpaca hugs! You will learn about the alpacas, take one for a hike and make a fiber nesting wreath to use as a gift or keep for yourself. You must be 9 years old to walk an alpaca. We are offering 2 sessions, 5/13/23 @ 2pm and 5/14/23 @ 2pm
THE PERFECT GIFT! Bring your Mom to the farm and spend the afternoon with the Alpacas! This is a 2 hour event held in our alpaca barn. We start the afternoon by learning about the alpacas and their unique personalities and the many stories that go with them. You will meet the other animals on the farm too and give everyone a snack! Then you each get paired with an alpaca and taught how to lead him/her. An onsite trail walk will follow your lesson. Bring your camera; there are plenty of photo ops here! After our walk we will go to our semi-open event space to have a snack and a drink. We finish your day by creating a fiber nesting wreath for your Mom/child/sibling. You will each design and assemble your own gift to give. Don’t worry, even the most artistically challenged people can handle this.
You must be 9 years old to attend. Sneakers/boots are required to walk an alpaca. Registration is required. Only registered individuals are permitted in the barn. We have limited this event to only 16 people for each date. There are no refunds for this event. ~Staff is fully vaccinated.
