Owned by Ben and Ann Sipe, Rainbow Snow and Ice Cream is currently in its 11th season, after opening their doors in 2005. The location had previously hosted an ice cream parlor, and recognizing there were not a lot of local options for cold treats in the area, the Sipes launched their new venture.
Rainbow Snow and Ice Cream features hand-dipped and soft-serve ice cream along with shaved ice snowballs. You'll also find a cooler in the store with a few special treats, too! You can choose from about 20 flavors of hand-dipped ice cream and around 30 flavors of snowballs.
Ben shares that they are known for their peanut butter soft-serve ice cream, as well as their stuffed snowballs, a treat that combines shaved ice with soft-serve ice cream. They have a few tables and chairs set up inside the shop in addition to picnic tables outside their Railroad Street location.
Rainbow Snow and Ice Cream is open seasonally from April 1 through Sept. 30 from noon to 10 p.m. seven days a week. Find them on facebook here.
