Preschool & Sing, Move, Act Classes Open at Welcome Little Ones

Back-to-School time is here and Welcome Little Ones is ready for the start of the new school year!

With their Private Academic School License they can accept children in their 1/2 day Preschool program as young as 2 years, 7 months (by Sept 1). This 2-day AM class meets on Tuesday/Thursday for the littlest learners. Young 3-year-olds are also welcome to join this class, with a few spots left. 

For 3- and 4-year-olds there is a 3-day AM class on Monday/Wednesday/Friday, only one spot left.

For 4- and 5-year-olds there is a 4-day PM class that meets Monday through Thursday, only two spots left. 

For 5- and 6-year-olds there is a *NEW* offering this Fall - Sing, Move, Act Classes. Perfect for rounding out Kindergarten students 1/2 day school experience, this 12-week session starts on Sept 21. 

Here’s what Carol Anne Friesen the center’s founder and owner has to say about this new program:

“In addition to our Preschool classes we are very excited about our newest offering for the fall, a Kindergarten enrichment program called Sing, Move, Act. I had heard that most school districts who offer half-day kindergarten have NO Art, NO P.E. and very minimal music so we came up with a program to help fill in the gap.

"Now children can come to us for a 1 hour drama, music, movement, listening and performance class, with an optional 1-hour craft and group games time. This class will be provided on Wednesday mornings AND afternoons, so half-day kindergarten students can be accommodated at a time when they are not in school.”

Welcome Little Ones believes that you are your child’s first teacher and your home is the first classroom so they also offer “Play & Learn” classes for babies, toddlers, and preschoolers in a mommy and me format. The fall 12-week session begins on Friday, Sept 16.

Imagine stories, crafts, sensory activities, music, movement, and a guided playtime, all rolled into one very happy and stimulating 45 minute class. Everything is geared to your child’s level of development and offered so that you can take the class ideas home and use them to stimulate your child’s learning all week long.

After class, stay and play with your friends in the "Playdate Place." It's simply a room that's open so caregivers can socialize and children can play.

Welcome Little Ones Preschool operates with a Private Academic School License, the only Preschool in the Palmyra Area School District with this distinction. The Director has a Master’s Degree in Education and all Teacher’s hold a Bachelor Degree in Education and a Valid PA Teaching Certificate, and a Private Nursery Credential, while each Teacher’s Aide holds a Bachelors Degree.
