Macaroni Safety: Boo Boo Bag

First Aid Items to Pack For Your Mini Macaroni

By Melinda Gill - Macaroni Kid South Lake June 27, 2012

Our little one is known for lots of super fun things and some not so fun... knee scrapes! Oh yeah, if there is a sidewalk to be run down you will catch our 4-year-old running at full speed. After several incidents in which we grabbed anything we could find to wipe the area clean we realized we needed a First Aid Kit in the car... then we realized (after an incident involving a piece of glass at the local lake and her tiny foot) we needed even more... Introducing the BOO BOO BAG!

- One super cute embroidered Zipper Pouch

- Neosporin Wound Cleansing Foam for Kids (LOVE this stuff… works like peroxide without the scary worrisome part; our kiddo laughs when it foams up!)

- Neosporin Neo to Go! Antiseptic Pain Relieving Spray (Love these little “on the go” aids!)

- Benadryl Readymist Itch Stopping Spray (A little spritz stops the itch!)

- A variety of “your kid will love these” regular and waterproof Band-Aids for all size boo-boos; kept in an empty Crystal Light plastic container.

- Waterproof bandage tape to hold the larger boo-boos gauze pad in place. (Ya just never know)

- Tylenol and Motrin (ok, ok.. that’s for us parents)

- Pack of tissues

- Bottle of antibacterial spray

- Sunscreen (We Florida folks don’t leave home without it!)

- Nail clipper, nail file, and tweezers (ya never know when your little one will get a splinter…or you chip a nail)

BEACH DAYS: We add a small bottle of rubbing alcohol and meat tenderizer to the bag. (Praying we
never have a need for these, but they stop the sting of jelly fish! Trust me… I know!).

Tell us below, what other items would you pack in your boo boo bag?
