Register for Healthy Kids Running Series' Spring Season

March 25, 2015
The Healthy Kids Running Series returns to Lebanon this spring and is now taking registrations.

The Healthy Kids Running Series is a national program with local groups across the country, and this will be the third season for Lebanon.

The five-week program is open to children from pre-k through age 12. Each week participants will race with distances varying by age from a 50-yard dash to a one-mile run. Kids will receive race bibs and earn points each week they participate. Every child who completes the five-week series will receive an award.

All events will be held on Sunday evenings from 5:30-6:30 p.m. at Lebanon School District's Wilhelm Avenue fields. Dates are April 12, 19 and 26, and May 3 and 17.

School counselor Jamie Walton and K4 teacher Kaitlyn Day return to lead the season for HKRS. Volunteers to help with events are also needed.

Registration is available online. You can also like the Lebanon Healthy Kids Running Series facebook page. Contact Jamie at jwalton@lebanon.k12.pa.us with questions or for more information.

In addition to Lebanon, other local Healthy Kids Running Series locations include Hershey, Lancaster, and several in the Harrisburg/West Shore area. See all the locations on the Healthy Kids Running Series' website.
