Introducing (un)SPA in Palmyra

Skin Care Treatment Center With a Variety of Services

September 18, 2013
I love to be pampered, I'll say that up front. I've had trips to numerous spas and salons over the years for everything from a mani/pedi to a scrub/massage to a facial. But, the other week Donna Felice, the owner and operator of (un)SPA in Palmyra invited me out for a facial.

Right away I knew this was going to be a different and unique experience. (un)SPA is a skin care treatment center and Donna is a registered nurse, licensed aesthetician, and a certified acne specialist.

When I arrived at (un)SPA, located just half a block from Route 422, the lobby was welcoming and friendly. Donna personally greeted me and gave me a mini tour of her facility. We also discussed my skin care needs and concerns - I have a very mild case of rosacea, but otherwise feel pretty good about my skin.

We then moved to the treatment room, which was warm and inviting, smelled wonderful (but not overwhelming) and was very clean. She examined my pores and spotted some sun damage on my nose, but thankfully no signs of wrinkles yet!!

The facial experience was wonderful and she was very considerate asking about washcloths being too warm and any products that caused tingling. She also kept close watch to make sure that nothing she was doing or using was irritating the rosacea.

During the facial as different masks set, I also had a brief foot massage and a paraffin dip for my hands. I really could not have asked for a more relaxing way to end a week. After the treatment, my face and hands felt wonderful!

Donna also sent me home with two samples of a cleanser and moisturizer to use that she said would help extend the effects of the facial and they absolutely did. Plus, the smell of the moisturizer especially is incredible in the mornings. The big challenge is keeping it away from my Mini-me who wants to use it, too!

In addition to facials, Donna's services include hair removal, corrective peels, an acne treatment program, anti-aging and men's services. You can view her full array of offerings on her website at www.theunSPA.com, where she also has a blog that offers skin care tips and information. You can also find (un)SPA on facebook.
